Congratulatory letter of Mr. Andros Kyprianou, General Secretary of the Central Committee of AKEL, has been delivered to His Exllency Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China and General Secretary of the Central Committee of CPC.
Looking back into China’s history, Mr. Kyprianou pointed out that through fearless sacrifice and hard collective work, the CPC successfully led Chinese people to realize the dream of national independence and prosperity, and ensures China’s rapid development in all fields of activity.
The CPC has always put people and their need at the centre of its attention, sharing all achievements through the whole country and to all the population, taking millions of people out of poverty and securing all-round social, economic, cultural and human development for all.
Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, the CPC is building Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, with dedicated further studying and development of Marxism along with the exchange of views and experience with communist parties worldwide, help bringing forth the understanding of the importance of socialism and Marxist thinking today.Mr. Kyprianou also mentioned that during the Covid-19 pandemic, China and the CPC have offered solidarity and assistance to other countries, including Cyprus.
He expressed gratitude for the role played by China as a Permanent Member of UN Security Council for its position in favor of multilateralism, the sovereignty of states and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, as well as China’s efforts towards the settlement of the Cyprus Problem, in support of the reunification of Cyprus and its people.
