On June 22, our young diplomat of the Embassy, with his Greek name Κωνσταντίνος, attended the live TV show《Our world and us》(Εμείς και ο κόσμος μας) on channel ΡΙΚ 1, talking with Mr. Loucas Chamatsos in fluent and native greek.
During the interview, he shared his experience of learning greek in Greece and his opinions on promoting language learning and cultural exchanges.
As the main topic of the show was the United Nations Chinese Day, an interesting documentary of Chinese traditional culture and language was also broadcast, around which Mr. Chamatsos and our young diplomat discussed the harmonious coexistence of Ancient Greek Civilization and Chinese Civilization, and as successors of ancient civilizations, how we can cooperate together to promote cultural development and innovation, at such a historic moment of the 50th aniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Cyprus.
As the famous Greek writer Mr. Nikos Kazantzakis wroted, Confucius and Socrates are two masks that cover the same face: the bright face of common logic of mankind (Ο Κομφούκιος και ο Σωκράτης είναι δύο μάσκες που σκεπάζουν το ίδιο πρόσωπο: το φωτεινό πρόσωπο της ανθρώπινης λογικής)
