Since 2016, the Embassy in Cyprus has implemented a Citizen Liaison Volunteer mechanism in the main cities of Cyprus, Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, “north” area Kyrenia, Famagusta, and the international student groups respectively specified Citizen Liaison Volunteer.
Volunteers cooperated with the embassy to understand the violation of the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens at the first time, and provided assistance within the scope of consular protection duties under the guidance of the embassy. Citizen Liaison Volunteers is a common international practice and many countries have implemented this mechanism abroad.
The embassy highly appreciates and thanks the volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
