On February 28, 2020, Ambassador Huang Xingyuan courtesy Meets with New Greek Ambassador Larakos. Ambassador Huang Xingyuan welcomed Mr. Larakos to take up his new post, made positive comments on china-Greece relations and pragmatic cooperation under the framework of ” The Belt and Road Initiative”, and exchanged views on the relations between other respective countries and Cyprus, the progress of the Cyprus issue, the outbreak of the novel corona virus and other international and regional issues of common interest.
Larakos highly appreciated China’s efforts as a permanent member of the UN security council to promote a just, reasonable and lasting settlement of the Cyprus issue, spoke highly of China’s measures to prevent and control the novel corona virus, and looked forward to maintaining close bilateral and multilateral communication and coordination with China to continuously enhance the traditional friendly cooperative relations between Greece and China.
