Confucius institute showcases Chinese culture in Slovenia

LJUBLJANA, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) — The Confucius institute in Ljubljana on Saturday showcased Chinese culture at a charity event held in the capital of Slovenia.

Visitors had the chance to taste Chinese tea, experience Chinese calligraphy, and put on Hanfu, traditional Chinese clothing, to take photos at the event, which aims at raising fund for Slovenian children in need.

Teachers from the institute also performed cucurbit flute and guitar duet and Tai Chi.

Lu Tingyao, Chinese director of the institute, told Xinhua that the institute participated in the event to show the charm of China to foreign people and to show welcome to anybody who is interested in Chinese culture. โ–
