On August 6, the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus held a meeting of Chinese government scholarships for the 2019-2020. Ambassador Huang Xingyuan issued an acceptance letter to four Cypriot students and presented a study book. Political Counselor Wang Sheng joined this meeting also.
Chinese Ambassador Huang Xinguuan first congratulated the four students on receiving the Chinese government scholarship, detailed the Chinese national conditions and a basic overview of the cities they would be studying in and said that although China and Cyprus have differences in culture, customs and habits, the two countries have a long-standing friendship, and share similar values, which will make the students’ learning journey full of fun. He looks forward to their smooth study and life in China and hopes that they can quickly learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture. He hopes that they will become the messengers of the friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Cypriot peoples and become the inheritors and successors of the friendship between the two countries.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Chinese government for their opportunities to study in China. They are grateful to Ambassador Huang and the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus for their help and care. They are full of enthusiasm for studying and living in China, hoping to adapt to life in China as soon as possible and improve themselves. At the same time, they will thoroughly experience the profound Chinese culture and make positive contributions to the friendship between the two countries.
