On June 27, 2019, Chinese Ambassador Huang Xingyuan was invited to attend the 2019 graduation ceremony of Frederick University in Cyprus.
Cyprus Ministry of Defence Savvas Angelides and Rector of Frederick University George Demosthenous delivered speeches and more than 1,000 participants attended from Frederick University’s teachers and students, outstanding alumni representatives and graduates’ families.
Rector of Frederick University George Demosthenous warmly thanked Chinese Ambassador Huang Xingyuan for taking the time to attend and thanked him and the Chinese Embassy for their support of the school.
Demosthenous said that the school was responsible for millions of euros of research projects last year, and its graduate recognition is getting higher and higher.
It is also expected that more outstanding graduates will go to Chinese universities for further study and strengthen academic and scientific exchanges between the two countries.
Cyprus Ministry of Defence Savvas Angelides expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, encouraging students to be brave in innovation, pioneering in their future work and study, and striving for a better country.
Two distinguished graduates from Frederick University spoke. They thanked all the mentors, family and friends for their encouragement and support.
They will not be afraid of setbacks and challenges on the road ahead, and light up the torch in their hearts. Ambassador Huang and the Chinese students took a group photo and wished that they would ride the wind and break the waves and start a new journey.
