After being nomad for generations and living by the water and grass for half a century, Pu Tsering, a herder in northern Tibet, has a magnificent turn in his life.In 2015, the government’s tailor-made solution for Pu Tsering was to move out of the mountainous area and work in a factory. Three years ago, he moved into a 75-square-meter house funded by the government. In January 2018, next to the resettlement site, a modern ecological animal husbandry demonstration base was put into operation. Pu Tsering took care of over 600 yaks and became an industrial worker. In 2020, the income of his family exceeded 15,000 US dollars.
