The “Chang’e 5” returner landed safely in the scheduled area of Siziwangqi Banner, Inner Mongolia of China in the early morning of December 17.
The moon samples brought back by “Chang’e-5” are expected to provide scientists with information on the lunar geology and early history.
The last time humans brought samples of the moon back to Earth was the US and Soviet lunar exploration programs over 40 years ago.
Another big step for humanity!
