On 1 July , the Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding. Mr. Xi Jinping, Chinese President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, delivered a nationally-televised speech from Tian’anmen Rostrum. Xi declared that China has realized the first centenary goal of “building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.” Reviewing the past 100 years, the CPC has united and led the Chinese people in achieving great success in the new-democratic revolution, socialist revolution and construction, reform, opening up and socialist modernization, as well as leading the socialism with Chinese characteristics into the new era.
