Cyprus external trade deficit for January – October 2020 declined by annual 9.4% as both imports and exports were adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. According to provisional data issued by the Statistical Service of Cyprus (Cystat), the trade deficit was €3,813.5 million in January – October 2020 compared to €4,198.0 million in the respective period of 2019. According to Cystat, total imports of goods amounted to €798.7 mn compared to €692.9 mn in October 2019, recording an increase of 15.3%. Imports from …
