Greece’s Deputy Minister of National Defence, General Alkiviadis Stefanis, said Cyprus and Greece will continue to fight in accord until the island is freed, without guarantees and occupation armies.Speaking after the doxology at St. John’s Cathedral in Nicosia to honour the anniversary of the Oxi Day, Stefanis said “we honour the fight of Greeks against the forces of fascism” adding that many Cypriot volunteers also sacrificed their lives fighting along Greeks.
