Government employment in January 2020 reached 52,424 persons marking an increase of 1,215 persons or 2.4% year on year. According to data released today by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat) the annual increase is solely attributed to temporary staff which rose by 7.2% to 16,142 persons in January 2020 from 15,056 in the respective month of last year.
