In July 2019 total government employment increased by 65 persons (0.1%) compared to the corresponding month of 2018 and reached 52,069 persons. According to the Statistical Service, permanent staff decreased by 439 persons (-1.5%), while casual staff increased by 4.9% and reached 15,318 persons compared to 14,604 persons in July 2018.
