Extremely high temperatures persist on Monday in Cyprus with the Meteorology Department issuing a new “yellow level” alert.In particular between 1200 and 1700 hours local time on Monday, “the maximum temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius over the mountains.”The Meteorology Department warns that the high temperatures some health risks amongst vulnerable people such as the elderly and very young are possible.CNA/EPH/GV/2020ENDS, CYPRUS NEWS AGENCY
