Turkey continues to deny acknowledging the crime against the Armenian people, which was the precursor to the genocide of the Greeks of Pontus and Asia Minor, according to a statement issued by the Office of the Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou on April 24, Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. At the same time, Photiou calls for an international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.
