A teleconference will take place next week between Cyprus, Greece and Israel aiming to finalise the Memorandum of Understanding that the three countries will sign regarding the electricity interconnection EuroAsia Interconnector. According to CNA sources, the teleconference will take place on the 17th of February. The EuroAsia Interconnector is between Israel-Cyprus and Cyprus-Crete and is expected to receive funding by the EU.The European Commission is expected to begin receiving applications from member states in April to fund projects of common interest.
