Cypriot athlete Rares Andrei Nechita finished first in the Junior Men Single Sculls in the World Rowing Junior Championships in Tokyo, Japan. According to the Cyprus Rowing Federation, the race took place on Sunday and Nechita finished first with 7:31.02, securing seventh place in the general ranking among 20 countries.
