A team of Cypriot civil engineers in Tirana to assist in post-earthquake building inspections

A team of civil engineers arrived on Tuesday in Tirana, at the initiative of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Cyprus after consulting the Albanian government, in order to assist in post-earthquake inspections of building, following the November 26 earthquake. A Foreign Ministry announcement says that the Cypriot team consists of six civil engineers, the head representative of Civil Defence and an Embassy official stationed in Athens. After arriving in Tirana, the team was briefed by the EU’s emergency response mechanism …
