In December 2019 total government employment increased by 411 persons (0.8%) in comparison to the corresponding month of 2018 and reached 52.470 persons. According to the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus, permanent staff decreased by 550 persons (-1.9%), from 28,399 to 27,849 persons.
