After a formal invitation from CTO, a tourist delegation from China consisting of 9 tourist agents visits Cyprus. The groups mission is to empower the relationship in tourism between China and Cyprus. The delegation will stay in Cyprus for one week and will have the opportunity to meet Cyprus as a tourist destination, something still not known in China. CTO will be responsible for the hosting of the group as well as the introduction to all that Cyprus can provide for its visitors. This is considered to be a big opportunity for Cyprus as according to official numbers, only 3000 tourists from China came last year. Considering the size of China this is a very small number and CTO hopes that this cooperation will open Cyprus to the Chinese market.
