Cyprus` House of Representatives President DemetrisSyllouris has sent letters to his counterparts from Small European States expressing the Parliament`s support and solidarity.
In particular, according to a parliament press release, Syllouris sent letters to his counterparts in Andorra, Iceland, Lichnestein, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Monaco and San Marino, “expressing the parliament`s support and solidarity as well as the hope of a speedy exit from the pandemic.
“It is added that Syllouris noted that small states are particularly vulnerable to the pandemic both in its health and economic dimensions but also said that they are more flexible and quick when it comes to making decisions which will constitute the cornerstone of overcoming the crisis.
He further assured his counterparts that once the pandemic is over exchanges and cooperation between the parliaments of their countries and Cyprus will continue and will be further enhanced both on a bilateral and a collective level, the press release concludes.
