The Chinese Solidarity Association Cyprus recently organized an event to celebrate the Chinese New Year, honoring this year as the Year of the Horse according to Chinese tradition.
The event was attended by prominent figures from Cyprus’s political and economic sectors, foreign diplomats, officials from the Peacekeeping Force, as well as members of the Chinese community.
The program featured traditional Chinese dances and songs, offering guests a taste of China’s rich cultural heritage.
Speeches were delivered by:
-Mr. Che Huali, President of the Association,
-Mr. Chris Michael, Honorary President,
-Mr. Zhou Yunliang, Deputy Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, and on behalf of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Kostas Koumis, Deputy Minister of Tourism.
The event highlighted the strong presence of the Chinese community in Cyprus and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange, further strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two peoples.
